The laboratory of Water Quality was established in 1965 as the Key Laboratory of Hydro-Chemistry. Since its establishment, the mission of the laboratory was to determine water chemistry and quality, define the possible use of water, and identify main contaminants and impacts.
Water quality is assessed by 25-30 indicators following national and international standards. Depending on the possible use of water, the following specific standards are applicable in our laboratory:
Drinking water quality from wells –“MNS 900:2005”
Mining Seepage -“Environment, Health protection and Safety” Water quality. The permission limit of substance contaminating the ground water-MNS6148:2010
“Effluent treated wastewater. General requirements”- MNS 4943:2011”,
Water qualityassessment “General requirements” -MNS 4586:1998
The standard of classification clean category of surface water – MNS 4586:1998
The laboratory not only analyzes the quality of water but also develops comprehensive conclusions and suggestions towards water treatment. We are also able to provide technical service in all stages of the water treatment process.
